The crime of sexual harassment is that a person harasses another person without any physical contact, in order to satisfy sexual desires. Sexual acts such as disturbing you with sexual words and sending sexually explicit images or videos without your consent represent the common forms of this crime. The crime of sexual harassment, known among people as passing a word to a girl or woman, verbal harassment, may be committed by telephone, social media or via the internet or by other means.

As with the crime of sexual assault, the crime of sexual harassment has an effect that may give the victim a deep shock. In particular, long-lasting, continuous acts of sexual harassment adversely affect the psychological state and social life of the victims.

Complaint Process

If you decide to file your complaint, you can apply tothe nearest police station or the public prosecutor’s office.

If you produce a witness who has seen or heard that the crime has been committed, this will be useful for proof. Furthermore, in case of harassment committed or ongoing by phone or computer, you also can submit these images as evidence. 

Judicial Process

After your case is put into process, you will receive a summons from the relevant court, which summons indicates the date and hour of the hearing. In order to be notified of the process and exercise your rights effectively, it is also very important that you update your addresses you have changed.
